NAME

lcfg-mkpxeroot-kernel - Script for making a PXE root kernel package

SYNOPSIS

lcfg-mkpxeroot-kernel kernel.rpm [release]

DESCRIPTION

lcfg-mkpxeboot is used to generate the LCFG PXE root kernel package from an existing kernel package. Basically it extracts the contents from the existing package, runs depmod and generates a new package which has no scripts, triggers or dependencies. This is then fed into the relevant installroot-pxe profile and used as part of the lcfg-mkpxeboot process.

This command must be run as root.

OPTIONS

This command has no options but has one optional command line argument which is the release number which is added to the generated kernel package. This defaults to 1. If you are generating a new package based on the same kernel as the previous one you will need to ensure you give the new package a higher release number.

PLATFORMS

Fedora5, Fedora6
